The Dushanzi Petrochemical Tarim Phase II Ethylene Project is a large-scale petrochemical project with a total investment of approximately 22.6 billion yuan. The main objective of the project is to construct nine major production units, including a 1.2 million-ton/year ethylene plant. The ethylene plant in this project adopts the core technology of the National Ethane Cracking to Ethylene Demonstration Project, featuring economies of scale, advanced technology, and leading environmental protection.

On the morning of August 16, 2024, the first stainless steel ethylene tower, an over-limit equipment for the Dushanzi Petrochemical Company's Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II ethylene project, which was undertaken by our company, was officially delivered.
The first ethylene tower, a piece of equipment exceeding the limits, delivered this time has a diameter of 6.6 meters, a total length of 80.2 meters, and a maximum wall thickness of 46 millimeters. Due to transportation limitations, the entire main body of the equipment was manufactured on-site. To ensure project progress and product quality requirements, our company overcame difficulties, strived for excellence, and adopted new technologies and construction methods to complete all tasks, including tower manufacturing and hydrostatic testing, to a high standard and with high quality.
The construction site was experiencing persistently high temperatures and dry conditions during the summer, with frequent sandstorms. This undoubtedly presented a huge challenge for our company. Faced with these difficulties, Hanyang employees persevered, overcoming obstacles and demonstrating their consistent fighting spirit. After four months of intensive work, they not only successfully completed the manufacturing of the ethylene tower on schedule, but also achieved a 99.8% first-pass yield rate for the overall equipment welds after nearly 4,000 flaw detection films were used. This is another record for welding quality at Hanyang Heavy Industry.
